REDEMPTION OF THE BODY
(week 47/14)
OLUBI JOHNSON
Romans 8:18-23 NIV: I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (19) The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. (20) For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope (21) that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. (22) We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. (23) Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as WE WAIT EAGERLY FOR our adoption as sons, THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODIES.
Here the scripture speaks of a PRE-RESURRECTION redemption of our physical bodies that will cause the life of God to be manifest in and through our mortal bodies without measure (Jn. 3.34) as it was in and through the physical body of the Lord Jesus.
2Corinthians 4:10-11 KJV: Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. (11) For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
Mark 6:56 KJV: and whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
Luke 6:19 NIV: and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them ALL.
Philippians 3:10-11 AMP: [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] (11) That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].
We are NOW in the PRESENT 4 BLOOD MOON TETRAD in the time and season for this redemption of our body to be made manifest.
Luke 21:25-28 NIV: “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. (26) Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. (27) At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (28) When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, BECAUSE YOUR REDEMPTION IS DRAWING NEAR.”
As an individual, to experience this redemption of your body, you MUST SUFFER BY DYING DAILY BY THE SPIRIT.
Luke 9:23 NIV: Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY and follow me.
Romans 8:13 AMP: For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.
1Corinthians 15:31 NKJV: I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
1Peter 5:8-10 KJV: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (10) But the GOD of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, AFTER that YE HAVE SUFFERED A WHILE, MAKE YOU PERFECT, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Romans 8:24-29 NIV: For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? (25) But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (26) In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (27) And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. (28) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (29) For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
