1John 3:9 NKJV: Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
1John 3:9 AMP: No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.
Here, the scripture speaks of a spiritual condition in which a Christian will no longer sin because of the divine nature in him.
However, IN PRACTICE, we see and know from experience that we still sin, WHY?
This is because the divine nature, though present in the spirit is not fully present in the soul: will, mind and emotions and body.
Consequently, the sin-nature in the soul and body are in conflict with the divine nature in our spirits, so causing to sin in some situations:
Galatians 5:17 NKJV: For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Galatians 5:17 AMP: For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.
Just like at the larva stage of the butterfly does not look ANY THING LIKE the butterfly, BUT as it grows and matures, it will ultimately become a butterfly, so, when we first get born-again like the larva, do not look like the Lord Jesus as we struggle with sin, but as we grow spiritually, we will ultimately become like the Lord Jesus and experience a ZERO SIN RATE.
Hebrews 4:15 NKJV: For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 5:7-9 NKJV: who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, (8) though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. (9) And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
How will this happen?
This will happen IF we COMPLETELY clean out this sin-nature from both the soul and body, then divine seed or nature will TOTALLY OCCUPY AND DOMINATE the soul and body and then we will NO LONGER SIN or have a ZERO SIN RATE!
This truth is shown in
2Corinthians 7:1 NKJV: Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from ALL filthiness of the flesh and spirit, PERFECTING HOLINESS holiness in the fear of God.
1Thessalonians 5:23 KJV: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless UNTO the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Observe that this TOTAL SANCTIFICATION OR PERFECTION is UNTO the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ: IT MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED AND DEMONSTRATED to the whole world BEFORE the Lord Jesus comes for the rapture of the man-child church (Rev.12.5) fulfilling
1John 4:17 NKJV: Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because AS HE IS, so are we IN THIS WORLD.
Ephesians 4:11-15 NKJV: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, (12) for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (13) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; (14) that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, (15) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
John 14:12 NKJV: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
Psalms 2:8-9 NKJV: Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. (9) You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
Matthew 24:14 NKJV: And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Revelation 12:5 KJV: and she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
This ZERO SIN RATE: a consequence of PERFECTION and TOTAL SANCTIFICATION, is GRADUALLY achieved by the DILIGENT APPLICATION OF THE BLOOD, THE WORD AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, THROUGH THE BLOOD of the everlasting covenant, (21) MAKE YOU PERFECT in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1John 2:5 NKJV: But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
1John 4:12-13 NKJV: No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. (13) By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
