GOD’S GOODNESS AND YOUR REPENTANCE 3
(week 30/16)

Last week, we saw that the regular confession of sin, the cleansing of the blood of Jesus, repentance and so walking in love should be a CONTINUAL DAILY practice for us so as to grow spiritually into the perfection and fulness of Christ.
This week, we will see this in even more detail.
We see this in:
Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (21) Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
It is the REGULAR cleansing of the blood of Jesus that enables the life of God to flow MAXIMALLY into our spirits so working in us that is well pleasing in God’s sight and ultimately making us grow into the perfection and fulness of Christ.
Furthermore, this regular confessing of sin, cleansing by the blood of Jesus, asking for the life of God and praying in tongues (at least once every 6 hours (Dt.6.7; Mk.13.35) and at every opportunity) causes the life and power of God to flow into and edify people in our sphere of influence, so edifying the body of Christ (you and those you are praying for) in love (all of this taken together is also called ‘washing of feet’) as shown in
Ephesians 4:15-16 NKJV: but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— (16) from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
1John 1:7-9 NKJV: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 20:22-23 AMP: And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit! (23) [Now having received the Holy Spirit, and being ?N1?led and directed by Him] if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained.
1John 5:16 NIV: If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
1Corinthians 14:2,4 NKJV: For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. (4) He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
Jude 1:20-21 KJV: But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (21) keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Romans 8:26-28 NIV: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (27) And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. (28) And we know that in all things God works for the GOOD of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
So the goodness and mercy of God preserve us from destruction and so gives us the space (or opportunity) to practice this habitual confession of sin, repentance, asking for life, praying in tongues and so walking in love.
This therefore causes us to make the Lord (God who is love (1Jn.4.8, 16)) our habitation and so guarantees our divine protection fulfilling
1John 5:18 KJV: We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
So, let us not take the goodness of God for granted but rather use it to repent to ultimately perfect love of God in our lives and so have perfect protection!
