RELEASING AND APPLYING THE BLOOD OF JESUS 2
(week 20/15)
OLUBI JOHNSON
In our article last week, we saw that we RELEASE the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus by confessing our sins WITH OUR MOUTHS with an HONEST and SINCERE attitude of HEART:
Psalms 32:3-5 NIV: When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. (4) For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Selah (5) Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”— and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah
Proverbs 28:13 NKJV: He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
This week, we will see how to RELEASE and APPLY the blood of Jesus in more detail.
We do this in detail ONCE daily, praying in this manner for people and groups of people GENERALLY but MENTIONING SPECIFIC SINS IN DETAIL like this:
‘’Father, I confess our (self, immediate, household etc.) sins (e.g. pride, lack of patience, prayerlessness, intemperance, disobedience, spiritual slothfulness, lying, sexual immorality in thought, word and deed, covetousness, idolatry, stubbornness, rebellion) and the sins of our people, fathers and forefathers of greed, murder and wickedness. I receive forgiveness, cleansing and the purging of our consciences from these dead works and a guilty conscience to serve You the living God; according to Your word that says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1Jn.1: 9)”; and “How much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscience from dead works and a guilty conscience (Heb.10: 22) to serve the living God (Heb.9: 14)”; and “Whosoever sins you remit, they are remitted unto them (Jn.20:23).” I forsake (Pro.28: 13) these sins by practicing the word with a continual determination (Pro.24: 16) and giving all diligence (2Pet.1: 5-10) to stop sinning and so to receive mercy to triumph over the judgement for these sins (Jas.2: 13)”.
This is the Melchizedek priesthood spiritual sacrifice substance of that corresponds to the symbolic shadow of what the High Priest did ONCE a year on the Day of Atonement in Israel:
Hebrews 9:7 NKJV: But into the second part the high priest went alone ONCE a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance;
Then, we ‘wash feet’ by confessing, forgiving and so cleansing or remitting the sins of ALL the people and groups of people mentioned earlier in the day GENERALLY, once every 6 hours (Dt. 6.7, 2 Sam. 6.13, Mt.13.35) and at every opportunity, making a total of 5-6 OR MORE TIMES DAILY saying:
“Father I confess OUR SINS to CLEAN WITH THE BLOOD”
‘’In Jesus Name WE HAVE LIFE”
Then we pray in tongues briefly for a few minutes.
Fulfilling,
John 20:23 NKJV: If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
This is the substance of symbolic shadow of the animal sacrifices made at the 3 feasts: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles (Lev. 23) and the daily morning and evening sacrifices (1 Chr.23.30) totalling to 5-6 OR MORE GROUPS OF SACRIFICES.
We then APPLY THE BLOOD by asking for mercy WITH OUR THOUGHTS, as we forgive GREAT NUMBERS OF SPECIFIC people and groups of people who either offend us or whom we see sin during the course of each day fulfilling
Matthew 18:21-22 NKJV: Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” (22) Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
Matthew 18:35 KJV: So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
1John 5:16 NKJV: If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.
Jude 1:21 NKJV: keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
This corresponds to the GREAT NUMBERS OF INDIVIDUAL sin offering sacrifices brought by specific people to the priests (Lev.1-7) in the Tabernacle or Temple throughout EACH day in the Old Testament.
