INHERITING THE WORLD

Romans 4:13 KJV: For the promise, that he should be the HEIR OF THE WORLD, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Galatians 3:29 NKJV: And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.
1 Corinthians 3:21-22 NKJV: Therefore let no one boast in men. For ALL THINGS ARE YOURS: (22) whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or THE WORLD or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours.
Here the scripture tells us that as Christians, we are the spiritual seed of Abraham through the Lord Jesus Christ and heirs of the promise of inheriting the world.
Practically, what does it mean to inherit the world?
It means to inherit the full salvation of our souls: wills totally submitted to the will of God; emotions totally controlled by the power of the fruit of the Holy Spirit and minds totally enlightened by the life of God giving us the ability of the mind of Christ.
The foretaste of this inheriting of the world will take place in this dispensation BEFORE the millennial reign of Christ (Rev. 20.4).
Hebrews 6:5 NKJV: and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
This same truth of inheriting the fulness of the blessings of the promise to Abraham IN THIS LIFE TIME is echoed in
Mark 10:29-30 NKJV: So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, (30) who shall not receive A HUNDREDFOLD NOW IN THIS TIME—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.
1 Timothy 4:8 NKJV: For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having PROMISE OF THE LIFE THAT NOW IS and of that which is to come.
So then how do we inherit the world?
By inheriting the salvation of our souls.
Mark 8:34-37 NKJV: When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. (35) For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. (36) For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (37) Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
1 Peter 1:9 AMP: [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
The consummation of our Christian faith is to save our souls: wills, emotions and minds: obtaining the ability of the mind of Christ: this will cause us to inherit the world in this lifetime.
