The Sons of Zadok 3
(week 50/06)
Olubi Johnson
Last week we saw that to become a son of Zadok you need to have and maintain an attitude of humility and love and pray daily as a habit for spirit of revelation and wisdom.
This week, we will continue to see the other things you need to do.
3. Pray in tongues frequently each day to speak mysteries and so draw out from your spirit into your mind, by revelation, the hidden wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 14:2,5,18 KJV: For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 5 I would that ye all spake with tongues…18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
1 Corinthians 2:7,9-10,13,16 KJV: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
4. As a habit, daily bible reading and study, in the light of anointed teaching from those who are approved of God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
2 Timothy 2:15; 3:15-17 KJV: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Luke 5:43-45 KJV: For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
It is vital to observe that it is possible to wrongly divide the word of God. Furthermore, the way you know a good minister is by the fruit of the Word of God that comes out of the abundance of his heart through his mouth. So it is only those who bring forth the rightly divided word of God from the abundance of their good hearts that you should follow spiritually by reading and studying the Bible in the light of the revelation of the Holy Spirit they give through anointed teaching and preaching of the Word.
Notice it takes discipline to pray and read and study the Word like this on a daily basis consistently that is why Jesus said:
Matthew 7:13-14 KJV: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
There is more space in the outer court than in the Holy Place; The way there is broad: you can pray when you like and how you like with the natural understanding of the Word. However it ultimately leads to the destruction of the flesh even though your spirit will be saved, so as by fire, since you are in Christ even though you are in the outer court. This is why many Christians remain in the outer court: it is easier for the flesh as they do not want the discipline and restrictions in the Holy Place.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 5:5 KJV: For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1 Cor 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
The candlestick and the shewbread in the Holy Place symbolically represent the spirit of revelation and wisdom from the Word of God and it is when you pray and read the Word with the spirit of revelation and wisdom on a regular basis, that you minister in the Holy place and so become a son of Zadok!
