ATTACK ON AMERICA:
Overcoming the Antichrist Spirit
(week 39/01)

PROPHECY: REVIVAL IN ISLAMIC NATIONS SEPTEMBER 13, 2001
By Pastor Olubi Johnson
The battle against fanatical Islam will be long and drawn out. There will be more attacks in Western nations. This battle will break the pride of Western nations so that they truly submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ; thus making way for mighty revival in these so called Christian nations. Subsequently, the coming of these revived nations with economic and environmental miracles will also break the pride of the Islamic nations. Mighty revival will also be manifest in these Islamic nations; Christianity shall be the norm in all these nations.
Islam will bow just like communism in the Soviet Union bowed. Islam will go the way of the communism of the Soviet Union. The Islamic nations will have their doors opened to mighty revival. Islamic nations will be filled with Spirit filled born again Christians.
Time to seek the Lord with all of our hearts
In our last article on Attack on America: Breaking up our fallow ground, we saw that God allowed the attack to break up the fallow ground of our hearts, to awaken us to the fact that it is time, in this 3rd. day or the day of the Lord, we are to seek God with all of our hearts to fulfill God’s purpose of preaching the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations, including, and in particular, the Islamic nations.
Hosea 10:12 (KJV): Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Joel 2:1-3 (KJV):
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
Joel 2:12-13 (KJV): Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
How to reduce and even totally overcome future attacks
We recall that Satan inspired the attacks but God allowed it to break up our fallow ground and pride so that we would seek God with all our of hearts and learn righteousness so as to cause revival and mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit, in this 3rd. day, to cause the Church to be perfected and so be able to expose terrorists by the power of the Holy Spirit like Elisha did.
Hosea 10:12 (KJV): Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Hosea 6:2-3 (KJV): After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Luke 13:32 (KJV): And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
2 Kings 6:8-12 (KJV): Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
There are scriptural examples of where God has allowed Satan to afflict people to save them from eternal damnation and make them learn righteousness:
1 Corinthians 5:3-5 (KJV): For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:20 (KJV): Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
These scriptures reveal that if the people involved were to judge themselves and learn righteousness then the judgements can be reduced or totally overcome. This is further confirmed in:
1 Corinthians 11:30-32 (KJV): For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Observe that God’s judgements are gradual: weakness, sickness and then finally premature physical death. Many times when we are weak both physically and spiritually it is God trying to get our attention to judge ourselves of some sin, usually of omission, rather than commission in our lives. Many times we dismiss these things as just a Satanic attack or even ignore them completely because they are not very severe. However not judging ourselves of these light afflictions of weaknesses or sicknesses will open the door to more severe afflictions like premature death. The more stubborn and proud we are, the heavier the affliction God has to allow to break up our fallow ground. We can overcome these things by honestly and sincerely judging ourselves and forsaking our sins of omission of prayerlessness, spiritual pride and negligence.
So if born-again Christians judge themselves of the sins of spiritual pride, prayerlessness and negligence we can by the power of God reduce and even totally overcome future terrorist attacks:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV): If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
In this regard, I believe that every spirit filled church in America in particular and all over the world in general should pray with fasting once a week for 1 hour, continuously in the spirit: that is in tongues, without interruption in the understanding, for their Nation: America or whatever your Nation is.
I believe if this is done, enough spiritual power will be released in the different Nations to foil any future terrorist attack, or any other type of Satanic attack. These attacks will be foiled by the Holy Spirit and the angels of God, either directly or more usually through the security agencies.
Recognizing and Overcoming the Antichrist Spirit
For the Church to really humble herself and seek God as she should we must recognize and overcome the operation of the antichrist spirit in our midst. The antichrist spirit is a spiritual force that subtly works in the minds of Christians by coming in the name of Christ against the purpose of Christ.
The antichrist’s spirit operation is described by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 23:23:
Matthew 23:23 (KJV): Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Basically the antichrist spirit makes Christians overemphasize secondary issues and omit primary issues.
In particular, the antichrist spirit, causes us in our thinking to overemphasize some legitimate Bible blessing or practice and completely omit the purpose of Christ, which is to perfect the Church, bringing her individually and collectively to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, fully conformed to His image.
Romans 8:28-29 (KJV): And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
John 14:12 (KJV): Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Colossians 1:28 (KJV): Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 4:12-13 (KJV): For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Satan uses this spirit because he knows that if the Church does not attain the fullness of Christ Jesus cannot return and the end cannot come. So Satan does not really care whether we are born-again, healed or prosperous so along as we are kept ignorant of or distracted from the purpose of God, he knows that Jesus cannot return to the earth and he will not consequently be removed from the earth into the bottomless pit.
Revelation 20:1-3 (KJV): And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Consequently, Satan, in his subtlety, has stopped fighting the Church directly and has joined us to fight us from within by this antichrist spirit. To make it more effective he has many flavours of this antichrist spirit depending on what the Christians have been taught or been exposed to. The scripture speaks of many antichrists in the Church:
I John 2:18-19 (KJV): Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would not [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], thay they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
I John 4:3 (KJV): And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
The antichrist spirit does not confess that the Christ nature and character can be perfected in our flesh.
You have, what I call,
1. The ‘legalistic antichrist’-Overemphasis on physical dressing and appearance.
2. The ‘power antichrist’, – Overemphasis on the gifts of the spirit, healing and deliverance.
3. The ‘prosperity antichrist’-Overemphasis on financial and material prosperity.
4. The ‘prophetic antichrist’. – Overemphasis on personal prophecy to control the lives of the saints and presumptuous issuing of ‘prophetic and apostolic decrees’ without adequate background intercession and accurate revelation.
To overcome these antichrist spirits we must use judgement, mercy and faith, to judge ourselves so we will not judged, but rather receive mercy that will triumph over judgement, and then use our faith for the salvation of our souls to be conformed to the image of Christ. If we don’t judge ourselves we open up ourselves to judgement in the form of satanic affliction, this is why Satan, using the antichrist spirit, makes us omit the weightier matters of the law: judgement, mercy and faith. For more details see our article “Triumphing in all things”. Also see our article on the fear of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:31 (KJV): For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Proverbs 28:13 (KJV): He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
James 2:13 (NIV): because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
1 Peter 1:9 (NIV): for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
As, at least a remnant of, the born-again Church does these things, a sufficient measure of the power of the Holy Spirit will be released to reduce, and sometimes completely overcome, any future terrorists attacks so that the type of destruction that happened on Tuesday 11th. September will never occur again until the Zion Church is caught up from the earth.
