A Greater Than Solomon
(week 31/01)
Olubi Johnson
In our last two articles, we examined our covenant with God, which is a spiritual contract to build God a temple in our souls and bodies through which He can manifest His glory in the earth.
This week, we will be examining a present truth prophetic Word: “a greater than Solomon” which describes the temple we should build to fulfill our covenant with God.
Wisdom greater than Solomon— Prophecy given on Sunday 23rd. July 2001 by Pastor Olubi Johnson
For I am raising up even now, saith the Lord, a Daniel within My Church that will have in them the wisdom of Christ that will even exceed the wisdom of Solomon, for even as Solomon was a marvel to his generation and men came from the South even the Queen of the South came to see and to hear the wisdom of Solomon, so shall men come in this day and in this hour unto My house in Zion that is upon My holy hill and they will come and see and hear of the wisdom that is greater than that of Solomon.
Yes, from out of My Church will come solutions to scientific problems, solutions to political problems, solutions to economic problems, solutions to environmental problems, solutions to problems that have plagued and drained the hearts and spirits of men hitherto.
Yes, I will raise up – and I am raising up even now in this day and hour -those whose wisdom will excel the wisdom of the East and even all of the wisdom of Egypt and I will do great and mighty things and all the resources, yea, the forces of the gentiles will be converted unto thee and they will come and they will bow down and they will make supplication unto thee and say surely, surely God is in thee. Therefore seek My wisdom with an honest heart, for wisdom cometh unto the lowly saith the Lord.
A Greater than Solomon
This prophecy speaks prophetically of the 21st. century Zion glorious Church that will manifest the perfection and fullness of Christ who is greater than Solomon:
Luke 11:31 (KJV): The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Colosians 1:27-28 (NIV): To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
Ephesians 4:13 (KJV): Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
The historical temple of Solomon was destroyed by Babylon. However, Ezra, Joshua and Zerubbabel built a greater temple, and the glory of the latter temple was greater than the temple of Solomon:
Ezra 5:1-2 (KJV): Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them. Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
Haggai 2:9 (KJV): The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
The New Testament Temple
In the same way, the New Testament Church: the present day temple of God, made up of individual Christians who have been defiled and have had their foundations destroyed (Psalm 11:3″If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”) by the spirit of Babylon, will have to have their foundations re-laid and rebuilt to make a glorious temple that will be greater than Solomon’s temple.
So God, in this 21st century (or 3rd day), is building new individual temples, that will form a corporate perfect glorious Church whose glory will be greater than that of Solomon’s in:
1 Character: better arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: the righteousness of the saints (Luke 12:27 and Rev 19:8)
2 Wisdom: (Luke 11:31)
3 Glory and Power: (Jn.2:11)
4 Material and financial wealth: (Hag. 2: 7-9)
The foundation of this “greater than Solomon” temple is being laid presently.
Individual Christians that have completed their individual temples: by attaining manifesting perfection, will now become individual stones for, firstly, laying the foundation of and secondly, building the corporate end time temple that will be “greater than Solomon”.
Recall that in the original temple of Solomon the stones were prepared individually outside the temple site such that when the stones were brought to the temple site they fitted each other perfectly so that there was no noise of hammer nor axe nor any other tool of iron was heard at the temple site:
I King 5:17-18 (KJV): And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house. And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
I King 6:7 (KJV): And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
In the New Testament God refers to us as living stones used to build a spiritual temple:
1 Peter 2:5 (KJV): Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Therefore, God is now preparing great, costly and hewed stones: individual Christians who will be individually perfect and so fit together without noise signifying a perfect unity of mind and perfect character.
1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV): Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
John 17:21-23 (KJV): That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
How to build your individual temple
In order to build your individual temple you need the spirit of wisdom and revelation:
Proverbs 24:3-4 (NIV): By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.
You will get this wisdom and revelation by using the keys of the kingdom daily (Luke 9:23) and must use this wisdom to build the life and character of God into your soul and body until you attain manifesting perfection.
Remember that even though Solomon was given great wisdom by God he strayed from God because He did not take heed to the instruction of the Word of God to daily continue in the Word all the days of his life we must not make this same mistake, if indeed we are to be greater than Solomon:
Deuteronomy 17:15-20 (NIV): be sure to appoint over you the king the LORD your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite. The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the LORD has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.” He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold. When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the priests, who are Levites. It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the LORD his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees and not consider himself better than his brothers and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.
1 Timothy 4:15-16: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
