Highway in the Wilderness
(week 30/04)

Isaiah 43:19 NKJV: Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Here, we are told God is doing a new thing: making a road or highway in the wilderness.
The wilderness prophetically and symbolically speaks of the condition of our souls: mind, will and emotions after we get born-again.
1 Corinthians 10:1-5 NKJV: Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
When we get born-again the nature of God: eternal life, living water, is injected into our spirits causing us to leave Egypt, where in were in bondage to the sin nature in our spirits.
We are then baptised in water: a type of going through the Red Sea.
We are then baptised in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues: a type of having the pillar of cloud and fire.
We also receive daily manna: daily feeding on the Word of God, water from the Rock: teaching of the Word of God.
We receive healing and prosperity: a type of type of ‘not having one feeble person amongst us’ (Ps. 105.37) and ‘not having our clothes or shoes to wear out’ (Dt. 8.4).
However, we are not yet in the Promised Land: a type of having the perfection of the nature, character and power of Christ in our souls and bodies:
Colossians 1:27-28 NKJV: To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV: Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So God, right now, is doing a new thing: building a highway in our hearts that will take us from the wilderness of an uncultivated soul: mind, will and emotions to the Promised Land of perfection in our souls and bodies.
What then is this highway?
It is the complete revelation knowledge of how to pray and walk in the spirit that will take you straight into the promised land of perfection rather than roam about in the wilderness of sense knowledge as the Church has been doing for the last 2000 years.
Sense knowledge is a mere mental comprehension of the scriptures.
Revelation knowledge is personal revelation of the hidden truth and application of the scriptures given by the Holy Spirit: it is like the Holy Spirit plays back a spiritual video of God’s thoughts concerning the scriptures in your mind.
The difference between revelation knowledge and sense knowledge is like the difference between reading a written report of an event and seeing the event as it actually happened by watching a video recording of it: revelation knowledge is first hand personal information, sense knowledge is second hand information.
Prior to this time some of us in the Church have made some progress in our journey in the wilderness towards the Promised Land by taking pathways: incomplete revelation knowledge of how to pray and walk in the spirit.
Others have taken byways or shortcuts of sense knowledge, which have not led them in the direction of the Promised Land; rather byways only cause them to roam around in circles in the wilderness.
So now in this 3rd. day God is doing a new thing: making a highway in the desert or wilderness that will take us straight into the promised land of perfection without diversions or delays.
Isaiah 40:3-5 NKJV: The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.
Isaiah 43:19 NKJV: 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness
Isaiah 48:6-8 NKJV: ‘You have heard; See all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, Even hidden things, and you did not know them. 7 They are created now and not from the beginning; And before this day you have not heard them, Lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’
This highway is the way of walking in divine love by operating efficiently the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus: this will perfect us in love and so take us into the promised land of perfection.
1 Corinthians 12:31 NKJV: But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 14:1 NKJV: Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
Colossians 3:13-14 NKJV: But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
