Inheriting Glory
(week 12/04)

Proverbs 3:35 NKJV: The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.
Here the scripture tells us that the wise shall inherit glory: what is glory and who is the wise?
Prophetic present truth revelation shows us that glory here for us in this 3rd. day means the manifestation of the glory of God in our lives as it was in the life and ministry of Christ so that we will do the works Jesus did and greater.
John 2:11-12 NKJV: This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
John 14:12 NKJV: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
This is the purpose of God in this 3rd. day: these things are to come into manifestation from this year 2004: God wants us to grow up into Christ in all things (Eph. 4.14).
So who are the wise and how do we get wise?
The wise are those who have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God concerning these things, like Paul prayed for the Ephesians.
Ephesians 1:15-23 NKJV: 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
It is instructive to observe that though the Ephesian church was born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Act. 19.5,6) yet they did not have this spirit wisdom and revelation. It was Paul’s prayer for them to have it.
Similarly, today simply being born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit does not automatically give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation: you need to start praying this prayer for yourself on a daily basis as a habit.
Furthermore, to obtain the wisdom of God you need to practice as daily habit walking in the fear of God since the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom:
Proverbs 9:10 NKJV: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom
It is only those who have the fear of God and practice it that will be entrusted with the wisdom of God and so inherit the glory of God at this time.
Notice the glory of God is not a gift but the reward of an inheritance;
Colossians 3:24 NKJV: 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance;
It is a reward given to those who make covenant by sacrifice (Ps. 50.5) to grow from spiritual childhood to maturity, as inheritance is not given to children but to mature sons.
Ephesians 4:13-15 NKJV: 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head–Christ–
Galatians 4:1-2 NKJV: 4:1 Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 2 but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.
