Understanding Hidden Manna
All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ in the Bible:
Colossians 2:3 KJV: In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Also God’s plan for every individual life is hidden in the Bible:
Colossians 3:3 KJV: For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Revelation 22:19 KJV: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The written Word unveils to us the Living Word: The Lord Jesus Christ:
John 1:1-3 KJV: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:14 KJV: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Since this truth is hidden it is only the Holy Spirit that can guide us into this type of truth. Without the Holy Spirit we can easily get “lost”, so to speak, in the “maze” of the Word and be deceived or misled by our flesh or devil into misinterpreting or misapplying the hidden truth in the written Word.
The Holy Spirit guides us into all this hidden truth in the written Word by interpreting spiritual truth with symbolic spiritual language.
John 16:13 KJV: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
1 Corinthians 2:13 NIV: This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
This hidden truth is also called hidden manna:
Revelation 2:17 KJV: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
In these articles on hidden manna we will be learning the principles of interpreting hidden manna and looking at various practical examples on a regular basis.
