Keeping Yourself in the Love of God 1

In last week’s article we saw that “we are more than conquerors, in all things, however severe, through Him that loved us” (Romans. 8.37).
The love or compassion God has for us is released into our lives through the High Priestly Ministry of Christ.
Hebrews 4:14-16(KJV): Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
In this High Priestly ministry Jesus intercedes for us through the supernatural utterance of the Holy Spirit, when we pray in tongues, to help overcome our infirmities and so obtain victory in any tribulation or trial we may be facing.
Hebrews 7:25(NIV): Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
John 16:13(NIV): But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Acts 2:4(KJV): And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Romans 8:26(KJV): Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
We tap into this intercessory ministry of Christ by coming confidently to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace to help in the time of need, or in tribulations and trials.
So during temptations and trials turn to the Holy Spirit and ask Him for mercy unto eternal life to be faithful to overcome the temptation or trial, then bind the devil in the air behind the temptation, take righteousness, peace and joy in that situation and then pray in tongues as much as possible and practicable during the temptation or trial.
Usually during temptations and trials people worry and fear rather than pray. Remember, use the time you would have spent worrying to pray and thank God during the temptation. This will give you peace and victory over the temptation or trial.
Philippians 4:6-7(NIV): Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Jude 1:19-21(KJV): These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Do not separate yourself from the love of God by becoming offended and getting into unforgiveness, bitterness or strife.
To do this you must make a conscious, daily, decision not to allow anything or anybody to offend you.
Psalms 119:165(KJV): Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
In next week’s article we will look at some minimum instructions of things we can do daily to keep ourselves in the love of God no matter how busy we are.
