REIGNING IN LIFE
(week 36/13)

Romans 5:17 AMP: For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
John 5:26 AMP: For even as the Father has life in Himself and is self-existent, so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself and be self-existent.
Here the scripture tells us to reign in life by the life of God through our righteousness: right standing with God.
Our right standing with God is effected and maintained by cleansing of the blood of Jesus giving us access to the life of God:
1 John 1:7-10 NKJV: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
Romans 8:10 CJB: However, if the Messiah is in you, then, on the one hand, the body is dead because of sin; but, on the other hand, the Spirit is giving life because God considers you righteous.
This life of God in our spirits is now converted to power (Act. 1.8) and released by the Holy Spirit to enforce God’s dominion in our souls: will, minds and emotions; bodies and circumstances thus causing us to reign in our lives by the life of God as we pray with all kinds of prayer (Eph. 6.18) and groanings in the Spirit as a daily habit, like the Lord Jesus did (Heb. 5.7-9).
Romans 8:26-28 NIV: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (27) And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. (28) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
As we practice this as a daily habit, God will be touching men through our confidence or faith in Him and so causing us to rule in the affairs of men and so reign in life!
2 Thessalonians 3:4 KJV: and we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things, which we command you.
Daniel 4:17 NKJV: ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’
