Cooperating With Angels
(week 09/03)
Olubi Johnson
Angels are ministering spirits who have been created and assigned by God to minister or serve those of us that are heirs of salvation.
Hebrew 1:13-14(KJV): But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
We need angels because they are the intermediaries between the spiritual and the physical realms: they can operate both in physical and spiritual realms.
They are God’s agents that are used to bring into physical manifestation the will of God through the prayers and the words of God’s people on the earth.
Psalm 103:20 (KJV): Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
This is where cooperating with our angels becomes critical: our angels operate through our prayers and the words we speak.
Speaking words of doubt, fear and strife hinders the operation of our angels, while speaking words of faith, encouragement and love fuels their effective operation.
In fact, the Bible says that we should be careful of the words we speak because they affect our angels either positively or negatively and determine how effectively they bring into physical manifestation the will of God for our lives.
Ecclesiastes 5:6 (KJV): Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Exodus 23:20-23 (KJV): Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the land of the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
So we should be diligent in the place of prayer and be watchful of the words we speak so we can fully cooperate with the angels who have been given charge over us to bring our inheritance into physical manifestation.
