DOMINATING SIN 2

In our article last week, we saw that we are to overcome the nature and power of sin and then the acts of sin in our conduct like the Lord Jesus did.
We will see how to do this in more detail this week.
It is instructive to note that if we learn and apply the instructions of the wisdom of the just in our lives, we will dominate the nature and power of sin as well as the acts of sin in our lives, causing us to be in a position where we will decree a thing and it will be established like it was in the life of the Lord Jesus: whatever He said or asked of God came into physical manifestation.
Job 22:23 KJV: If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
Job 22:28 KJV: Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
To dominate the nature and power of sin on a daily basis, we need to clean out and dominate the sin nature by the blood (Heb. 13:20-21), the Word (1 Jn. 2:5) and the Spirit (1 Jn. 4:12-16), by praying with all kinds of prayer in the Spirit for about one hour each day (Eph. 6:18, Mt. 26:40, Heb. 5:7).
2Corinthians 7:1: Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
To dominate the acts of sin we need to:
1. ‘Wash feet’ by the blood, Word and the Spirit once every 6 hours (Dt. 6:7, Mk. 13:35, 2 Sam. 6:13).
2. Pray frequently in tongues at every opportunity during the day (Jude. 1:20-21).
3. Pray in the tongues during temptations (Mt. 26:41) as led by the Spirit as we act on the Word (Gen. 24:27).
Observe that praying every six hours will give us the spiritual sensitivity and strength to pray at every opportunity which in turn will give us the spiritual sensitivity and strength to act on the Word in obedience and pray during temptations: these are detailed instructions of the wisdom of the just.
The power released by praying to dominate the nature and power of sin in the soul, body and air, can be likened (Rom. 1:20) to the power released by the engine of a car.
The power released by praying to ‘wash feet’ and frequent tongues can be likened to changing the gear and pressing the accelerator pedal to make the car go faster, based on the power being released from the engine.
The power released by praying with your thoughts to act on the Word and praying during temptations can be likened to the power used in turning the steering wheel to make the car go in the direction you want.
Observe that the power released by the accelerator and the steering wheel depend on the power released by the engine: if the engine is not running, pressing the accelerator pedal or turning the steering wheel will not move the car. Similarly, the short prayers for every six hours and at every opportunity will only be effective if there is a foundation of extended praying in the Spirit with all types of prayer for at least one hour earlier in the day. For young or weak Christians, this would have been done by those in leadership and extended to them by covering.
We see here a spiritual system of power connections: the first set of prayers release power that triggers the next set which release the power that triggers the third set that then lead to acting on the Word and overcoming temptation. As this is done diligently by the mercy and grace of God, your obedience level will go up to 90%-100%, giving you the experience of dominion over sin.
