AWAKENING, REVIVAL AND REFORMATION OF THE CHURCH
(mr 01/04/18)
OLUBI & SARAH JOHNSON
PROPHETIC EXHORTATION GIVEN ON SUNDAY 18/03/2018
In the book of Revelation, there were seven churches in Asia Minor: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. The Lord Jesus appeared to John to give him messages to these seven churches. The apostle John was very close to the Lord Jesus; they were friends and he knew Him very well. However, when John saw the resurrected Christ in His glory, dressed with white garments down to His feet, the breast of His garment covered with gold, His eyes like a flame of fire, the effulgence of glory that emanated from the Lord Jesus Christ was so powerful, John fell! The Lord Jesus had to comfort and strengthen him. The King of Glory is coming to all the nations and continents to establish His kingdom.
Revelation 1:10-17 KJV: I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (11) Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (12) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; (13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. (14) His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire; (15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. (16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength. (17) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
John saw the seven candlesticks that were on a lampstand, called a Menorah, which is found inside the temple. The Lord Jesus spoke and said the seven candlesticks represent the seven churches of then Asia Minor (Rev.1: 20).
Revelation 1:20 KJV: The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
I find it amazing that there are seven continents and seven candlesticks: a candlestick for each continent! In God’s end time move, there will be no continent, nor nation that there will not be a candlestick planted therein! The Lord Jesus through the Zion Church, will first invade every continent through some key nations. For example, like Nigeria for Africa; the U.S. for North America; possibly England for Europe; perhaps South Korea for the Asian continent because of the strong Christian presence there already! The details are not clear yet, but every continent will have a “candlestick nation” that will bring the light of the Zion Church, Kingdom perfection gospel to that continent and then other nations on that continent will begin to get the light!
The purpose is to establish the Kingdom of the King of Glory, the total dominion of God, not just the new birth, in every continent; from thence it will go to every nation in that continent. From every nation it will spread to every tribe, kindred and tongue in each nation. It is a work that has already begun and it will fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea!
Habakkuk 2:14 KJV: For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Everybody on earth will know about the glory of God! Not everybody will accept it or benefit from it, but they will know about it because they will see it! The glory cloud will be manifest in the continents and the nation’s cities. There will be churches that will have the glory cloud manifested on it and the people will see it because of satellite television, even people who are not resident in that particular location of the glory cloud manifesting! They will see it on television! So the knowledge of the glory of God will cover the earth.
The Lord of hosts will contend with all that contend against Zion and set the captives free! That glory will bring liberty. The Bible speaks of “the glorious liberty of the sons of God.”
Romans 8:21 KJV: Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
What it means is that the glory will liberate or, set free the people. Wherever that glory is manifested, the lame will walk, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the barren will conceive; the women that are bowed down will be made straight!
The manifestation of God’s glory will raise a new generation of Christians from men that are unregenerate now, and there are many. However, they will come into the kingdom. They will get born again, but will not stop there. There’s going to be a three-fold operation. There will first be an awakening, then a revival, and finally, a reformation of the Church.
Many people are asleep now spiritually, even Christians, particularly, those in the denominations and even the Pentecostals. Many have drifted away from the gospel and the purpose of God because of bad leadership. There will be an awakening because of this imminent light, and that awakening will lead to a revival in their lives. Revival will lead to a reformation in the Church. The Church of Jesus Christ is about to be reformed at any moment.
Using the analogy of the growth and development of the caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly, the majority of Christians are at the caterpillar stage.
Romans 12:2 KJV: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The scripture above says that you may be “transformed” by the renewing of your mind. That word in Greek is “metamorphoo” and is where we get the English word “metamorphosis” from. It is one of the most accurate concepts of the growth of a Christian. First the egg: you get born again by the seed of the word. When the egg hatches it becomes a caterpillar. The caterpillar is a little insect that’s always crawling on the floor; it cannot fly.
Sadly, the majority of Christians live and die in the caterpillar stage. They go to heaven, but never leave the caterpillar stage and are earthbound all their lives. Some grow into the pupa stage. In that stage, there’s not much movement. Growth and development is still taking place but with minimal activity. This can be likened to the silent years of the Lord Jesus in Nazareth. Not much activity or running around, but a lot is changing. That is a reformation; to reform on the inside. Then, when the caterpillar reaches maturity, it receives strength to break out of the cocoon, and the butterfly flies out, which is symbolic of the fullness of Christ.
God is going to raise a new generation of saints. They will not stop at the caterpillar stage anymore like most have in these last two days of church history. The majority of the church have lived and died in the caterpillar stage. The reformation will now take place during which many Christians will go through the reformation and the butterfly stage, and begin to fly with the beautiful colors of the fruit of the Spirit and demonstrate the glory of God to the earth.
In this regard, I gave us by the Holy Spirit, instructions some years ago. The time has come, if you haven’t been doing it diligently, to work on it now! The key to the glory is watching and praying and not perfection! This is abundantly clear from scripture. It’s not perfection, otherwise the overwhelming majority of Christians will not be able to carry the glory. It’s just watching and praying, typified by the priests carrying the Ark of glory into Jerusalem on the orders of David. The Bible says every six paces; they sacrificed (2Sam. 6:12-13). Six paces is symbolic of six hours: you see that in the both the New Testament and the Old. It says in Deuteronomy 6:7, ”when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you wake up.”, in other words, at least four times in about 24 hours!
If you’ve not been doing this by confessing sins and praying in tongues in the Spirit at least once every six hours during every day, start doing it now! That’s all you need: an honest heart, the armour of God, the life of God, praying in the Spirit in tongues as frequently as you can but at least once every six hours!
The Lord showed me from the life of the Lord Jesus and His disciples. I find it amazing that even Judas carried the glory! He did carry the borrowed anointing! If Judas could carry the glory, anybody can if the person will watch and pray! The Lord spoke to me and said that none of the disciples were at the stature of Jesus, not one of them! So how could the Ark of Glory remain balanced as they figuratively carried it? There were four places for the literal Ark of Glory to be carried by a priest, one at each end of the two staves.
The Lord Jesus was one. Then, He said, there were three other places to be filled. So how were the places filled? The Lord Jesus at full maturity filled one place. Then for each of the other three places, four disciples would be joined together to form the equivalent of one Jesus at full maturity, a total of twelve disciples!
So as we begin to walk in the Spirit and we’re consistent in our making sacrifice, not all of us will be at the same level of spiritual growth and development, but the Lord will join us together so we will become a corporate man in full stature! There will be some of the leadership with others not at the spiritual stature of the leadership, but God will join them together, and join them together, and as a corporate man, we will bring the Ark of Glory into Jerusalem! Hallelujah!
