ENFORCING THE DOMINION OF LOVE
(week 33/16)
OLUBI JOHNSON

Matthew 6:9-13 KJV:  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. (10)  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (11)  Give us this day our daily bread. (12)  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (13)  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Here, the Lord Jesus teaches us that for God’s will to be done or manifested in the earth as it is in heaven, the Kingdom (Dominion of the King who is God) of God has to come or be enforced.

Now, ALL the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus: they are ALL the will of God for us!

2Corinthians 1:20 KJV:  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Ephesians 1:3 KJV:  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Here God through Paul tells us that we HAVE BEEN (not going to be!) blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places; however we need the blessings HERE ON EARTH!

So the Lord teaches us to pray ‘thy Kingdom come thy will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN’!

Now, what is the Kingdom in practical terms and HOW do we enforce it in our lives DAILY so that His will will be done in our lives on earth?

Romans 14:17 NIV:  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

So, the Kingdom of God is the DOMINION of righteousness, peace and joy BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Furthermore, since God is love and righteousness is right-doing and love ALWAYS does right, enforcing the kingdom is practically enforcing the dominion of love and the fruit of spirit!

1John 4:8 NIV:  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Romans 13:8-10 NIV:   Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. (9)  The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (10)  Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV:  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23)  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

How then do we enforce the DOMINION of love?

By keeping the commandment of love and life by the blood (Heb.13.20-21; 1 Jn.1.7-10), the Word (1 Jn.2.5) and the power of the Spirit (1 Jn.4.12-13) at least once every six hours (Dt.6.7, Mk.13.35) and at every opportunity and by this in every temptation with our thoughts (2 Cor.10.4-5) and actions.

We need to do this by DILIGENTLY praying intensely: fervently and effectually (Jam.5.16) by the grace and mercy of God according to

Matthew 11:12 AMP:  And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize–a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
