BREAKING, RULING AND DISCIPLINING THE NATIONS
(week 33/09)

Daniel 2:34-35 ESV: As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. (35) Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
Daniel 2:44-45 ESV: and in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, (45) just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”
Here, Daniel is given a revelation of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar: that a ‘stone’ which is symbolic of the rock of revelation (Mt. 16. 17-18) of the love of God is ‘cut’ out by no human hand (not revealed through physical human senses) from the mountain of prayer:
Isaiah 56:7 ESV: these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.“
Isaiah 2:2-3 ESV: It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,
This ‘stone’ or revelation of the prayer to perfect the love of God will be used by God to break, rule and disciple all nations (Mt. 24.14) in this end-time before the Lord Jesus returns physically to close this age:
Psalms 2:1-12 ESV: Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? (2) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, (3) “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” (4) He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. (5) Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, (6) “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” (7) I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. (8) Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (9) You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” (10) Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. (11) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
It is instructive to note that as God’s glory begins to be made manifest in the earth through the perfect church: made of sons who have become spiritual kings in Christ and those under their covering; there will initially be great opposition and persecution against the church by some of the nations and their leaders, but this opposition and persecution will be broken by the force of spiritual arms through this ‘stone’ of the prayer of the perfection of the love of God.
Matthew 24:9-13 ESV: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. (10) And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. (11) And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. (12) And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. (13) But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Now, just like God broke the pride of Pharaoh in the time of Moses (Ex. 7.1-5), Nebuchadnezzar (Dan. 4.24-26; 34-37) and Belteshazzer (Dan. 5.22-31) in the time of Daniel, so God will break the nations of the earth by this stone in this 3rd day before the Lord Jesus returns physically.
Leviticus 26:19 ESV: and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.
This ‘stone’ or the revelation of how Jesus prayed when he was on earth to perfect the love of God, has been hidden and reserved to be revealed in this 3rd day as a ‘worst case design’ plan to overcome the very worst of the satanic nature that would be manifest through men in these perilous last days:
2 Timothy 3:1-9 KJVR: this know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, (7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (8) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds reprobate concerning the faith. (9) But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
In our article next week, we will see how God will rule and disciple the nations after breaking them through the perfect church.
