POWER OF PROTECTION

In our articles on complete knowledge we saw that God’s power is ministered to us in three areas: Godliness, protection and to get wealth.
The power of protection includes God’s power to heal and deliver:
Acts 10:38 ESV how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
The purpose of divine protection is to enable us to live long and in good physical health so we can fulfill our destiny in its fullness.
It takes many years to grow spiritually to be able to fulfill your destiny and you need to be in good physical health to pray effectually and fervently, fast: labouring spiritually and physically to perfect and complete the will of God for your life.
Psalms 91:16 ESV (16) with long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
To enjoy divine protection it is vital that you begin to walk in and gradually perfect the love of God in your conduct by the blood (Heb. 13.20-21), the Word (1 Jn.2.5-6) and the Spirit (1Jn. 4.12-13).
In fact the condition for enjoying divine protection is abiding or making the Lord, who is love your habitation or living in the love of God:
Psalms 91:9-11 ESV Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place– the Most High, who is my refuge– (10) no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. (11) For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalms 91:14-15 ESV “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. (15) When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honour him.
Now how does divine protection work?
We generate the power for divine protection by praying with travail and tongues with all types of prayer in the spirit (Eph. 6.18) (See our book ‘A practical guide to prayer’) for divine protection at least once in a week (Gen. 1.3-2.2).
We release the power of God so generated above by confessing (saying with our mouths) God’s Word on protection and praying in tongues after the confession at least once in a week (Gen. 1.3-2.2) and walking in love by ‘washing feet’ at least once every six hours
(Dt. 6.7, 2 Sam. 6.13, Mk. 13.35).
We receive the power of God so released above by frequently (at least once every conscious hour Mt. 24.42) acknowledging the Lord (Pr. 3.6) for mercy unto eternal life (Jude 1.21) in our thinking and praying in tongues frequently to commune with God (1 Cor. 14.2,18, 28; Jude 1.20).
As we practice these things the angels of God will manipulate men and circumstances to protect us:
Like God protected Joseph from being killed by his brothers causing them rather to sell him into slavery (Gen.37.18-28).
Like God protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the burning furnace (Dan. 3.19-30) and Daniel in the lion’s den (Dan.6.20-23).
Like God protected Paul from being killed by the over 40 men who had taken an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed him (Act.23.12-24) and used angels to protect him and all the men that were with him in the ship when he was ship wrecked (Act. 27.14-44).
It is instructive to see here that divine protection is not always spectacular: like seeing angels protecting you like Daniel and the Hebrew young men mentioned above or Elisha from the Syrian army (2 Kgs.6.12-23).
In fact most times God protects us without spectacular manifestations just by using His angels to work on men and circumstances
to protect us fulfilling the scripture that says:
Proverbs 16:7 ESV When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
So let us learn to please the Lord by using our faith to walk in and ultimately perfect the love of God in our lives so He will make even our enemies to be at peace with us!
