Trumpets, Tabernacles and Jubilee 2

In our article last week we saw that we are in the season of the fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles in the Church.
The feast of Tabernacles typifies the experience of the perfection (development to maturity), of divine love and the consequent manifestation of the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ in the Church firstly individually (Lu. 6.40, Jn. 14.12, 1Jn. 2.5) and then corporately (Eph. 4.13).
The fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles in this season will also be a Jubilee. A Jubilee was celebrated in Israel every 50 years marking a release of God’s people from debt, slavery and any type of bondage to their family inheritance or property.
Leveticus 25:10-11 NAS: You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.
As a firstfruits breaker company (Mi. 2.13), in the Church experiences the fulfillment of Tabernacles in this season, there will be a Jubilee or release of God’s people from the captivity of spiritual immaturity into the liberty of perfection and spiritual maturity: the fullness of our inheritance in Christ.
The Church has been held captive in spiritual Babylon to spiritual immaturity by covetous, deceitful leaders:
Ephesians 4:14 NKJV: that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
2 Peter 2:1-3 NKJV: But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
Jude 11 NKJV: Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
God is about to set his people free from the yoke of these covetous leaders, typified by Balaam who only serve themselves, and their judgement will be a trumpet to the whole Church, signifying God’s Jubilee or release of the Church into perfection and spiritual maturity:
Jeremiah 30:7-9 KJV: Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. 8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
Joel 2:1-2 NIV: Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand– 2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was of old nor ever will be in ages to come.
Leviticus 25:8-10 NKJV: And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants.
Since the fulfillment of this feast of Tabernacles and its attendant Jubilee and so judgement is imminent, it is vital now for us to be ready by:
1. Genuine repentance from covetousness (like that of Balaam Num. 22.20-32) and partial obedience, which God sees as disobedience and rebellion, so as to indulge the flesh (like that of Saul 1 Sam. 15.13-31).
2. Watch and pray frequently in the spirit (Luke 21.36, 1 Cor.14.5).
3. Keep yourself as a daily habit in the love of God so that the wicked one will not be able to touch you (1 Jn. 5. 18).
