THE FRUIT OF GOOD TREASURE 2_2015
(week 46/15)
OLUBI JOHNSON
In our article last week, we saw that good or pure anointings or leadership spiritual gifts are recognized by the fruit of the good treasure of knowledge, understanding and wisdom that comes out of their hearts through their mouths:
Luke 6:43-45 NKJV: “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. (44) For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. (45) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Here, the Lord Jesus tells us how to know good men: by the fruit of good treasure that comes out of their hearts and consequently mouths.
What is this good treasure?
The good treasure of revelation knowledge, understanding, wisdom and instruction as shown in
Colossians 2:2-3 NIV: My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, (3) in whom are hidden ALL THE TREASURES OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE.
This week, we will see in more detail HOW to recognize false or corrupted anointings.
The truth of recognizing false or corrupt anointings is symbolized in
Proverbs 25:14 KJV: Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.
Here, the clouds and wind symbolize manifestations of supernatural power and presence; the rain symbolizes the teaching of God’s Word of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge:
Deuteronomy 32:2 NKJV: Let my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, as raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.
This is further confirmed in
Jeremiah 3:15 KJV: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Isaiah 8:20 KJV: To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Psalms 119:130 NKJV: The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
It is instructive to observe that it was this fruit of good treasure that came out of the hearts and so mouths of Joseph and Daniel that caused Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar to trust and promote them BEFORE there was any PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION OF WHAT THEY SAID:
Genesis 41:32-40 NKJV: And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. (33) “Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. (34) Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. (35) And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. (36) Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.” (37) So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants. (38) And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” (39) Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. (40) You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”
Daniel 2:45-48 NKJV: Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” (46) Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him. (47) The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.” (48) Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.
How did Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar KNOW that Joseph and Daniel were telling the truth?
It resonated with God working in their CONSCIENCE:
2Corinthians 4:2 NIV: Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
This is also HOW WE WILL RECOGNIZE the FRUIT OF GOOD TREASURE WHEN WE HEAR IT!
